As a team at School Plus Griffin the educators have stepped up to Walk for Autism, we have committed to taking 10,000 steps a day for 8 days and fundraising to help change the lives of the people on the autism spectrum.
The walk for autism fundraising event starts from the 31st March -7th April, in this time as a team we have organised group events to encourage one another to stay motivated and work together to hit our step goals, some of these events are, Mt Ngungun walk, Ted Smout bridge walk, waterfront walks and walking around the Griffin Community. We would like to encourage all families to get involved by inviting all families to our fundraising sausage sizzle, which will be held during afternoon tea in School Plus care main room, on Tuesday the 2nd of April.
We will be collecting gold coin donations to put forward towards our Walk for Autism fundraising and invite all families to join, even if your just walking by why not stop in for a sausage and drink of cordial.
We look forward to sharing each of these events and steps we take with all our families, as we support the School Plus Griffin team in hitting our fundraising goals.
Previously educators have been encouraging families and friends close to them to help raise money, our goal is to raise $1,500 and we are unbelievably proud to announce, we have already raised $1,291.54. WOW!
Please help make our steps count and support our efforts by donating online to our team via link below. Any amount, big or small, will get us one step closer towards a world where no-one on the autism spectrum is left behind.
