Students and staff were excited to welcome our very special guests, Mitchell and Alex, who work in careers involving Virtual Reality including design, game development and the simulation industry.
They shared these experiences with the children. We learnt that virtual reality is used in training astronauts, helping pilots understand cockpits and event training carers of dementia patients. It is definitely a career path that many of our children are likely to become involved in in the future. The children were captivated by this talk and so excited to try out some of the equipment themselves. Mitchell and Alex commented that the children were an “awesome bunch to work with, they were polite and conscientious of the hardware and of taking turns” which was such lovely feedback to receive. We are so fortunate to have members of our community share their careers and experiences with us!
