Our new project, which is led by students in our Leaders Group, started in Term 3.
The focus of the project was to provide all children a sense of belonging at School Plus Worongary.
Leader Group students started interviewing their peers, and educators to gain information about their likes, dislikes, and strengths to create a School Plus Worongary Public Profile.
The information gained from the interviewing process is shared with the rest of the School Plus Worongary group during group time at before school and after school care. At the end of the Public Profile sharing, children in the group are invited to voice a positive comment about the student being showcased.
We have noticed that this project has started to develop the student’s public speaking skills, confidence, and ability to speak kindly about other children. The older children have done an amazing job role modelling this to the younger children and building up their peers.
